After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to cancel The DAOist Austin.

Through conversations with our long-time partners, speakers, and attendees, we already knew that most of our base was not going to attend Consensus 2023. We decided to try it anyway in the interest of connecting to new ecosystems and networks in which DAOs become ever more present and deeper governance considerations are needed.

But after all was said and done, we were not able to achieve traction compatible with the size of the event. It is now time to face the music: The event's cost exceeds both the potential revenue and the available capital to be lost.

We will refund everyone who bought tickets and give them free tickets to our next event 🎫 - We are bringing the magic sauce to Paris.

We want to say thank you to the amazing coalition of agents that supported us: Shouts to Matthew Lands, Joshua Lapidus, Jorge Cortes, Hami and Schelby at The Belmont, Mariano from the LuxEvents team, Brent Long and the Blocklive team, MetaCartel’s own Borrow Lucid, and the gracious patience of the folks at Mindzai Creative.‍

Also playing on our team were Samie Walker, Amber Urquhart, ATX DAO's members Sam Padila and Mason Lynaugh who extended their hand often throughout the process.
